5- Ingredient Peach Sangria
What is Sangria?
Sangria is a Spanish drink made with wine and fruit. It is prevalent in Spain and Portugal, as well as the rest of the world. There are many different varieties of this beloved drink, and the most popular uses the Spanish Rioja red wine. You can also make sangria with white wine. The wine is mixed with fresh fruit, any fruit that is in season. Some fruits most used are apples, oranges, berries, pineapple, and yes, peaches. Also mixed in with the wine and fruit is typically brandy, sparkling water, or a flavored liqueur.
Personalize your Peach Sangria
The beauty of the sangria is that you can personalize it to your taste. Some people like a little harder sangria and add brandy to the mix. If you are a lightweight like me, I prefer a lighter drink, especially during the hot months. I like to add a little club soda or lemon-lime soda to my peach sangria. Either way, it is one delicious and refreshing drink.
This summer, more than any other, I have been delving into signature drinks. Adding a drink pairing truly makes things more fun! I made this drink for my Father’s Day brunch I had over the weekend. Whether for brunch, lunch, or to unwind after a long day, this cold refreshing sparkling sangria is fun and easy to make.
HOW TO MAKE PEACH SANGRIA
Sangria is one of the easiest pitcher drinks you can make. And the fact that you make it ahead makes it easy on the host.
The trick to making great sangria is to add everything together and let it refrigerate for several hours. The fruit will get nice and saturated with the sangria, and the liquid ingredients will blend to perfection.
